Recognized English Skills Educator認定制度

What is ETS Japan Recognized English Skills Educator?

2024年3月に開始した、英語教員の英語力と英語指導力を同時に認定する制度です。
「Teaching TOEFL iBT Skills Workshop」を受講し、なおかつTOEFL iBTテストにおいて、スコア5.0以上（2026年1月20日以前の試験はスコア95以上）を取得された方をETS Japan Recognized English Skills Educator-Goldに認定いたします。TOEFL iBT®の指導方法を身に着け、尚且つ十分にTOEFL iBTテストにおいて求められる、4技能を統合した英語力・英語コミュニケーション能力を持っている教員であることを示すことができる、英語教員のための制度です。

認定の種類   Categories 

ETS Japan Recognized English Skills Educator-Gold

認定された方には、ETS Japan発行の認定証及び認定バッジを贈呈し、お名前をETS Japan webサイトに掲載いたします
Certified teachers will be awarded a pin, certificate and their name will be listed on the ETS Japan website

2026年1月20日をもってSilver認定は終了し、Goldのみとなりました。
As of January 20, 2026, the Silver certification has ended, leaving only the Gold certification.

認定の対象となる方　Who Is Eligible for Certification?

現役の英語教員・講師（小・中学校、高校、大学、専門学校、語学学校、留学準備校、英語試験対策スクール 等）でご指導されている方で以下の2つの条件を満たす方　※学生不可

①Teaching TOEFL iBT Skills Workshopを修了
②TOEFL iBTでスコア5以上を取得(2026年1月20日以前の試験の場合はスコア95以上)

Current English teachers or instructors at elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, universities, vocational schools, language schools, study abroad preparatory schools, English test preparation schools, or similar educational institutions who meet the following two requirements. Students are not eligible.

①Complete Teaching TOEFL iBT Skills Workshop
②TOEFL iBT score of 5 or higher (95 or higher for tests taken on or before January 20, 2026)

ご申請時のご所属がわかるもの(基本名刺）をご提出いただきます。（更新時も同様）
Applicants will be required to submit proof of their affiliation at the time of application and renewal, typically in the form of a business card.

Teaching TOEFL iBT Skills Workshopをご受講後、下記の認定申請専用フォームにてお申し込みください。

スコアに関して  Scores 

認定申請フォーム内でお持ちの有効期限内スコア（受験日から2年以内）をお知らせください。

※テスト日は、ワークショップの前後どちらでも構いません。ただし、認定期間はスコアの有効期間までとなりますので、なるべく直近のスコアを提出することをお勧めいたします。また、認定期間の継続をご希望の方は、有効なスコアを改めてご提出いただく必要がございます。（ワークショップも、継続に合わせてご受講されることをお勧めしております）
※MyBest®Scoresも可能です。認定期間は４セクションの中でもっとも古いスコアの有効期間までとなります。

Let us know your valid score in the form.   The recognition term is as long as your score is valid. If you'd like to extend the term, you'll need to submit the new valid score. Joining the workshop regularly is not necessary but preferable.
You can apply with your MyBest®Score. The recognition term is as long as the oldest score of the 4 sections is valid.
 
 

よくある質問  FAQ

Q.英語の指導はしていないのですが、このワークショップに参加して認定をうけることはできますか。

　　　Although I do not teach English, would I still be eligible to participate in this workshop and obtain certification?

A.本制度は実際に英語を学校等でご指導されている方の認定制度となります。また、ワークショップも現在ご指導されている方を対象としています。
This certification program is designed for individuals who are currently teaching English at schools or other educational institutions.

Q.以前あった教員向けのワークショップ（Propell）に参加したのですが、そちらも申請の対象になりますか。
I have joined Propell workshop before. Can I apply for this recognition without completing the new workshop?

A.本制度は、2024年開始のTeaching TOEFL iBT Skills Workshopにご参加された方が対象になりますので、改めてご受講していただく必要があります。
This is for those who complete the new workshop(Teaching TOEFL iBT® Skills Workshop). You'll need to join this workshop.

Q.特別受験制度を利用して受験したスコアも対象ですか。
I have a score on the iBT test paid with a MEXT voucher. Can I apply for this recognition with this score?

A.対象です。対象の学校に勤務されている方は、ぜひご利用ください。
Yes, you can.  If you teach at elementary school, junior high school, high school, special support school or technical college, you can purchase the test voucher for a special price.
